What is our goal?
In view of current and upcoming societal changes, the burden in the health sector is increasing. The changes include, among others, demographic change and a shortage of skilled workers in medical professions. It is therefore of fundamental importance to respond to the existing and future problems. One of these is incorrect and multiple medication, which, according to a survey by the University Hospital of Fürth, leads to about 30,000 deaths per year in Germany. In addition, there are 1.6 million people who have to be treated for this.
One of the reasons is the lack of digitalisation in the health sector. With the help of new supporting technologies, error-prone work processes are to be automated and the workload of healthcare professionals relieved. The start-up K+B Technik is tackling this challenging task with the aim of setting new standards in the field of patient care through innovative, fully automated medication technology.
